Jinhae is home to the largest cherry blossom festival in South Korea, the Gunhangje Cherry Blossom Festival. Every year, a ten-day festival is held to commemorate naval Admiral Yi Sun Sin, which became a celebration closely associated with spring. A four-hour drive from Seoul, this town offers lots of spots to enjoy cherry blossom viewing. Go to the Romance Bridge at the Yeojwacheon Stream and see the illuminated sakura trees at night, or visit Gyeonghwa Station and see the line of cherry trees surrounding the train for scenic snaps!
